YES  (2005, d. Sally Potter) Romantic woman's pic in rhymed verse.  Joan Allen exudes sex; but for me Potter remains an elusive taste.  ** 1/2
YESTERDAY  (2005, d. Darrell Roodt) Picturesque & heartfelt So. African AFF about a rural Zulu family ravaged by AIDS.  ***

YOUNG VICTORIA, THE  (2009, d. Jean-Marc Vallée) I'm a sucker for a great period love story.  This is extraordinary, with Blunt & Friend superbly matched. Gorgeous.  *** 3/4
